Poached Peaches

These poached peaches with a hint of lavendar are one of the unique peach recipes to make at home.

This peach recipe also uses your favorite dessert wine for an extra special flavor.

What you need:

4 peaches
2 cups sweet white dessert wine
2 tsp dried lavendar
1/2 cup sugar

What you do:

Peel peaches then cut in half and remove the pits.

In a saucepan, mix wine, sugar and lavendar. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Add peaches.

Turn heat down to low and poach 25 minutes.

Remove peaches with a strainer spoon and place in refrigerator to cool.

Bring to a boil the liquid remaining in the saucepan until it is syrupy.

Strain to remove the lavendar.

Place peaches on a plate and pour the syrup over them.
