Peach Pie made with Fresh Peaches

I was lucky enough to live in Nova Scotia for a while, in the Annapolis Valley. I picked this recipe up there. grouping-of-peaches-three-whole-and-one-half-of-peach-with-pit-still-intact I think of my wedding day every time I make this, since Nova Scotia is where I got married, and peach pie was one of the desserts served at the reception.

What you'll need:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 ripe peaches
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 unbaked pie shell

What you do:

Mix butter, flour and sugar until crumbly. Sprinkle half into pie shell.

Slice peaches into shell, you don't even have to peel them! Just make sure they are washed really well.

Sprinkle the rest of the crumb mixture over the peaches.

Pour cream over everything.

Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
