Mango Sorbet

This lovely mango sorbet dessert is really easy to make. We love the fact that you don't need an ice cream maker to prepare it!

If you like mango fruit you'll love this. One of our favorite fruit dessert recipes.

mango sorbet in a dish topped with fruit on a plate with a spoon

What you need:

  • 2 mangos - peeled and cubed (pureed works better)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 cup ice

What you do:

Pour mixture into a large resealable plastic freezer bag, or freezer-safe bowl.

Seal (if using bag) and freeze for 45 minutes to an hour.

Move the contents around in the bag or stir if using bowl, every 15 minutes while freezing.

Once desired consistency is reached, spoon into dessert bowls. Garnish with mint leaves or raspberries for an elegant look.

  • Taste your mango before adding sugar. Some are sweeter than others and one cup of sugar can make it very, very sweet.
  • Adding a few drops of vanilla really adds to this dessert.
  • Keep in mind that it may take longer than the suggested 45 minutes to freeze, depending on your freezer, how cold it is, etc.
