Mango Surprise
This recipe really does have a surprise- the hot pepper sauce! Amazing!
Combine mango, lime juice, and hot pepper sauce in food processor or blender until smooth.
Transfer to a medium freezer-safe bowl; freeze covered until ready to serve.
Serve on top of frozen yogurt.
Mango and Lime Ice
Nothing says summer like mango and lime! Add more rum and cut water in half to make this a cocktail.
What you need:
3 ripe mango, peeled and roughly chopped(save 4 wedges for garnish)
1 cup water
2 tablespoons sugar
3 limes, juice of
3 tablespoons Malibu rum
What you do:
Add all ingredients to blender, and blend until smooth.
Pour into 9x13 baking pan. Freeze until solid - 3 to 4 hours.
Scrape across the top with a big spoon to make shaved ice and put into serving glasses - martini glasses work well.
Garnish with lime zest and a mango wedge.
Mango Pops
Frozen treats are always a hit with children. The juice concentrate does contain sugar; but significantly less than ready-made popsicles. Go ahead- enjoy a sweet treat with your little ones!
What you need:
1/2 cup evaporated milk
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup frozen pineapple-orange juice concentrate
2 cups chopped mango
What you do:
In a blender, puree mango until smooth.
Add evaporated milk, water and juice concentrate. Blend until well mixed.
Pour into freezer molds or paper cups. Seal and freeze until firm. Unmold and serve.
