Jam Recipes

"Spread it on toast, smear it on pancakes, stick it on waffles- what's NOT to love about homemade jam?"

The difference between jam and jelly:

  • Fruit comes in the form of fruit juice for jelly.
  • Fruit comes in the form of fruit pulp or crushed fruit for jam.
  • For preserves, the fruit comes in the form of chunks in a syrup or a jam.

Other Information:

  • No one knows exactly when jam and jelly was first made. It is thought to have started in the Middle Eastern countries.
  • Nine flavours account for more than 80 percent of total U.S. production, the most popular being grape jelly and strawberry jam.
