How To Cut A Pineapple

Another fruit that looks intimidating; we'll show you how to cut a pineapple the easy way!

If you have pineapple recipes you want to try (maybe a delicious pineapple smoothie?) we'll show you how to get to the fresh fruit inside.

The simple steps will have you snacking on fresh pineapple in no time!

  • Place the pineapple on its side on a cutting board and cut off the top.
  • Cut off the bottom of the pineapple, then stand it on its newly cut, flat bottom.
  • Cut the skin off of the sides in strips, until all of the skin is removed.
  • Wipe off your cutting surface.
  • Make four cuts, all around the core, to remove the fruit.
  • Slice pineapple into lengths, and then into cubes, if desired.
  • If you have any leftovers, they can be kept in an air-tight container (plastic Ziplock or similar) for about 3 days in the refrigerator.
