Fruit Salsa Recipe

A basic fruit salsa recipe made with healthy fruits. Homemade uses less preservatives than store bought or canned.

Enjoy as a snack while reading, watching tv or playing on the computer. It's also nice at a party with chips.

What you need:

  • 1/2 cup diced fresh or canned pineapple (fresh is best!)
  • 3/4 cup diced mango
  • 3/4 cup diced papaya
  • 1/2 cup diced green apple
  • 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh cilantro
  • 4 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 package tortilla chips

What you do:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and cover. Chill in fridge for at least one hour before serving. (May be prepared one day in advance.)

Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for burgers, etc.

Makes about 3 cups.
