Fruit Dip Recipes

If you are trying to eat a little healthier, why not enjoy one of these fruit dip recipes with some sliced fresh fruit? Dips are enjoyed all over the world, and in many different forms.

Children love fruit dip because it is interactive and they get to choose how much is used- plus, it's something that can be eaten with your hands! Anything that doesn't require a fork to be eaten has to be good!


Strawberry Fruit Dip

What you need:

  • 1 cup yogurt (vanilla)
  • ¼ cup cream cheese
  • 2 cups strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • What you do:

    Put all ingredients in the blender. Blend until smooth. Makes a pretty pink fruit dip. Very kid-friendly.


    Apricot Coconut Fruit Dip Recipe

    What you need:

    • 1 cup sour cream
    • ¼ cup shredded coconut
    • 2 TBS apricot preserves
    • ¼ cup chopped pecans

    What you do:

    Put all items in a big bowl. Mix well. Hand mixing is allowed for this recipe! Chill.


    Raspberry Fruit Dip

    What you need:

    • 1 cup raspberries (sweetened)
    Base:
    • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese,softened
    • 3 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 cup sour cream or Mascarpone
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    What you do:

    • Puree the raspberries
    • Combine all base ingredients and beat until smooth and creamy
    • Spoon half of the base mixture into a serving dish and smooth it out
    • Top with half the raspberry puree and smooth
    • Repeat layering base mixture and raspberries

    Chill and serve with assorted fruit such as bananas, grapes, kiwi, apple, pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, and papaya, cut into bite-size pieces Makes about 2 1/2 cups.


    Lemon Fruit Dip Recipe

    What you need:

    • Zest of 1 lemon
    • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
    Base:
    • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese,softened
    • 4 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 cup sour cream or Mascarpone
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    What you do:

    • Combine all base ingredients and beat until smooth and creamy

    Chill and serve with assorted fruit such as bananas, grapes, kiwi, apple, pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, and papaya, cut into bite-size pieces Makes about 2 1/2 cups.


    Almond Fruit Dip

    What you need:

    • 3 Tbsp finely chopped almonds
    • 1 1/2 tsp almond liqueur

    Base:

    • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese,softened
    • 3 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 cup sour cream or Mascarpone
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    What you do:

    • Combine all base ingredients and beat until smooth and creamy
    • Add the almonds and almond liqueur to the base and mix
    • Garnish with 1 tablespoon finely chopped almonds, if desired

    Chill and serve with assorted fruit such as bananas, grapes, kiwi, apple, pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, and papaya, cut into bite-size pieces Makes about 2 1/2 cups.


    Marshmallow Fruit Dip

    What you need:

    • 1/2 cup marshmallow creme

    Base:

    • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese,softened
    • 4 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 cup sour cream or Mascarpone
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    What you do:

    • Combine all ingredients and beat until smooth and creamy

    Chill and serve with assorted fruit such as bananas, grapes, kiwi, apple, pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, and papaya, cut into bite-size pieces Makes about 2 1/2 cups.


    Vegan Fruit Dip Recipe

    What you need:

    • 1 Tbsp tahini
    • 2 Tbsp almond butter
    • 1/2 Cup apple sauce
    • 1 Tbsp blackstrap molasses
    • 1/4 Tsp cinnamon

    What you do:

    • Mix all of the ingredients together in a small bowl

    Serve with pear or apple slices. This recipe is also good on toast.


    Chocolate Dip

    What you need:

    • 2 cups heavy cream
    • 2 ounces sugar
    • 2 ounces butter
    • 2 pounds white OR dark chocolate

    What you do:

    • In a non-reactive double boiler set over medium-low heat, bring the cream, sugar, and butter to a boil
    • Chop the chocolate into small chunks - a serrated knife works best for this
    • Add the chocolate chunks to the cream mixture in the double boiler, whisking, until it is melted and incorporated into the cream
    • Keep mixture warm in a fondue pot

    Use strawberries, bananas, pineapples, apples, pretzels, etc. for dipping.
