Fig Chutney
If you're looking for chutney recipes - give this fig one a try. Fig Chutney What you need: - 1 cup dried figs
- 1 tsp dried minced onion
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup cider vinegar
- 8 oz crushed pineapple undrained.
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
What you do: Cut the stems off of the figs and finely chop. In a medium saucepan, combine figs with all of the ingredients. Simmer for 30 minutes; uncovered, stirring occasionally. Refrigerate overnight to give flavors a chance to mingle and develop.
