How to cut a Pineapple

Another fruit that looks intimidating to cut up and eat. Broken into a few simple steps, you'll be snacking on freshly cut pineapple in no time! I hope to take pictures and get them posted up here soon so you can actually see what I'm talking about in each step.

  • Place the pineapple on its side on a cutting board and cut off the top
  • Cut off the bottom of the pineapple, and then stand it on it's newly cut bottom
  • Cut the skin off of the sides in strips, until all of the skin is removed
  • Put the pineapple on its side and cut it into slices, until the whole thing has been sliced up. The thickness is up to you
  • Core each slice seperately (it's easier and you'll be less likely to cut yourself). Some pineapples have soft cores that can be eaten, but most of the time they are pretty hard and can't be consumed
  • If you have any leftovers, they can be kept in an air-tight container (plastic Ziplock or similar) for about 3 days
