Enjoy the color and flavour of this wonderful fruit salad. Add as much or as little of each fruit as you feel like.

What you need:

  • cherries
  • green and red grapes, seedless
  • strawberries
  • blueberries
  • bananas
  • apples
  • clementines
  • kiwi
  • papaya
  • pineapple

For the syrup:

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • juice of one lemon
  • 4 tbsps water
  • fresh mint, chopped

What you do:

  • Remove stems from cherries, grapes and blueberries; add to bowl
  • Hull the strawberries, then add them in whole
  • Peel clementines; add to bowl
  • Peel and slice kiwi; add to bowl
  • Cut papaya in half, remove the seeds, slice and then add
  • Cut up the pineapple and add to salad
  • Core and slice an apple, slice bananas and add to bowl

*It's best to add the bananas last, because they brown easily. Apples do as well, so to prevent them from turning colour, simply sprinkle with a bit of lemon or lime juice.

  • In a separate bowl, mix sugar, lemon juice, water and fresh mint, then pour on the fruit
  • Mix well to evenly coat with the lemon/sugar mixture
