Colorful Fruit Salad

Enjoy this colorful fruit salad with its wonderful flavors! Add as much or as little of each fruit as you feel like.

One of our favorite fruit salad recipes.

What you need:

  • cherries
  • green and red grapes, seedless
  • strawberries
  • blueberries
  • bananas
  • apples
  • clementines
  • kiwi
  • papaya
  • pineapple

For the syrup:

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • juice of one lemon
  • 4 tbsps water
  • fresh mint, chopped

What you do:

  • Remove stems from cherries, grapes and blueberries; add to bowl.
  • Hull the strawberries, then add them in whole.
  • Peel clementines; add to bowl.
  • Peel and slice kiwi; add to bowl.
  • Cut papaya in half, remove the seeds, slice and then add.
  • Cut up the pineapple and add to salad.
  • Core and slice an apple, slice bananas and add to bowl.

*It's best to add the bananas last, because they brown easily. Apples do as well, so to prevent them from turning color, simply sprinkle with a bit of lemon or lime juice.

  • In a separate bowl, mix sugar, lemon juice, water and fresh mint, then pour on the fruit.
  • Mix well to evenly coat with the lemon/sugar mixture.
