Banana Loaf

This tasty banana loaf is one of the nice banana desserts for any occasion. It's a fairly easy banana recipe to make and add to your dessert collection.



What you need:

2 bananas
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup shortening
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream
2 cups flour (self rising)

What you do:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Grease 2 loaf pans, 5" x 9".

Mix sugar and shortening together in a bowl until fluffy.

Add one egg at a time, beating after each one until combined.

Stir in bananas and sour cream, then mix in flour.

Pour into pans.

Bake at least 45 minutes. Insert toothpick in center until it comes out clean and loaf is done.

Cool on wire racks.

Serves 10 - 12.
